As a Holistic Practitioner & Certified Detox Specialist™ with formal education in toxicology and detoxification, my job is to educate my clients about our growing vulnerability to chemical toxins and heavy metals. Food, water, air and everyday products are so contaminated that we are constantly bombarded with an influx of harmful poisons each day. Because of this, the burden of chronic disease is on the rise which weakens cellular integrity and the body’s ability to renew itself properly.
Countless studies show that these harmful poisons weakening cellular integrity (which includes weakening our body’s detoxification systems), have been linked to: Asthma, Migraine headaches, Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Obesity and metabolic syndrome, Cancer, Neurological degeneration, Autoimmunity, “Leaky” or permeable gut.
While the medical community has provided us with the labels to the above conditions, when it comes to solving the problem and symptom relief we need to focus on what really matters - the causation. Label VS Cause. As someone who values functional medicine and holistic therapeutic nutrition, it is my role to focus on the causation - removing the culprits - and then the dietary, lifestyle and natural interventions that will support a body’s ability to renew itself properly again.
To renew cellular integrity, our bodies require daily support with cleansing from environmental toxicity and heavy metals. This includes a nutrient dense diet filled with detoxifying antioxidants and phytochemicals along with supportive wholefood supplements - but this is just baseline support for what a body requires - as when symptoms of poor health are present, more support is required. With my formal education, client experience, my own personal healing and witnessing the rise in obesity, mental health issues, gut permeability, cancer and autoimmune conditions, it is more often than not, that additional specialized nutrients and natural interventions are required to support the body’s detoxification system.
These specialized nutrients are called chelators, which are binding agents that suppress chemical activity. Side note, all chemicals whether in the form of environmental pollutants or chemical medicine poison our enzyme systems. Nutrients make our enzyme systems work. Excellent sources of natural chelators include high dose vitamin C, glutathione, nutritional algae, medicinal mushrooms, milk thistle, probiotics, and more. I don’t recommend anyone reading this to start consuming every natural chelator available, as I have made that mistake, therefore seeking guided support from a trained professional is a must. 4 Ingredient Detox Cocktail Recipe
Base: 2-3 ounces of water with the juice from 1/2 fresh squeezed organic lemon or orange.
5-10 drops of BioSil or Herbasante Alterra Sili-Mer G5
1 - 2 Tablespoons of E3Live AFA Algae, Nature’s Most Nutrient Dense Superfood or 1 teaspoon of Spirulina powder mixed with water
1- 2 drops of Nascent Iodine
1/2 - 1 teaspoon of Black Seed Cumin Oil

Nascent Iodine
Detoxes and protects the thyroid against damaging heavy metals including mercury, lead, fluoride and chlorine that is found in our water supply.
